Job Summary
CSU Advise has an opening for a Dual Enrollment Coordinator.The Dual Enrollment Coordinator will report directly to the Director of Advising. Responsibilities include assisting in the oversight and implementation of a holistic advisement and student retention program for dual enrolled students at Columbus State University. The Dual Enrollment Coordinator is expected to ensure accurate, appropriate, and timely services for all dual enrolled students to promote retention, progression, and graduation.
Responsibilities
The position duties/responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Coordination and facilitation of on boarding and advising
  • Coordinates the dual enrollment program at Columbus State to include representing CSU at Dual Enrollment events in the surrounding area, assisting the Director of Advising in timely submission of memorandums of understanding with partner schools, consults with local school counselors, and serves as a point of reference for dual enrolled students' parents.
  • Serves as primary academic advisor for all dual enrolled students.
  • Hosts dual enrollment orientation for dual enrolled students starting their programs in the fall and spring semesters.
  • Provides recruitment information for programs at Columbus State that align with dual enrolled students ' academic and professional goals.
  • Ensures intensive and proactive services to foster student retention, to include referrals to tutorial services and campus resources including but not limited to Enrollment Services Admissions and Registrar, Financial Aid, Center for Career Development, the Counseling Center, and the Office of Disability Services.
Collaboration with Colleges, Departments and Service Centers
  • Collaborate with Enrollment Services, Student Financial Services, Registrar's Office,Center for Career Development, the Counseling Center, and the Office of Accommodation & Access, as well as other pertinent entities on campus to facilitate enrollment and registration, while providing information to students and families regarding academic advising (new student orientation, visitation, etc.).
  • Leads the annual assessment of the dual enrollment aspects of the Annual Assessment Report for CSU ADVISE.
  • Represents and promotes the Center at the local, state, and national levels (ALC, NACADA, etc.).
  • Effectively communicates and collaborates with senior administrators, deans, chairs, academic departments, faculty and staff advisors, academic/student support office directors and staff, and any other stakeholders.
  • All other duties as assigned by the Director of Advising.
Required Qualifications
Minimum qualifications include Master's Degree in a field related to higher education is required; preferred 5 years of experience in an enrollment management, admissions, financial aid, or advising; along with the ability to perform the required duties, decisively solve problems, facilitate programs, and create and evaluate effective processes; excellent customer service skills;excellent organizational skills; effectively collaborate with faculty and staff across the university; strong oral and written communication skills; proficient in the use of Banner, Banner SIS, Degree Works, EAB, Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and other software tools used in CSU ADVISE; understanding of dual enrollment law, policy and procedure in the state and the USG and proficient in processing of Georgia Student Finance Commission funding in coordination with the Student Financial Services office at Columbus State.
Proposed Salary
The annualized salary range for this position is $45,000- $47,000 and includes full benefits.
